Modelo Sirius (Simulasi Interaktif Representasi IPA Untuk Sintesis) Berbasis Scratch MIT Pada Konsep Fotosintesis Siswa Kelas 4 SD

Abstrak

Pemahaman konsep fotosintesis pada siswa sekolah dasar seringkali terkendala oleh sifatnya yang abstrak dan kompleks. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan MODELO SIRIUS (Simulasi Interaktif Representasi IPA Untuk Sintesis) berbasis Scratch MIT sebagai media pembelajaran konsep fotosintesis yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Pengembangan dilakukan menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) model Borg & Gall yang meliputi sepuluh tahapan sistematis. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 5 Godong Kabupaten Grobogan dengan subjek penelitian 37 siswa kelas IV pada Januari hingga April 2025. Pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, angket validasi, tes pemahaman konsep, dan angket respons siswa. Hasil validasi menunjukkan MODELO SIRIUS memiliki tingkat kelayakan sangat baik dari ahli materi (92%), ahli media (89%), dan praktisi pendidikan (94%). Uji lapangan operasional menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman konsep fotosintesis dengan nilai rata-rata pretest 62,43 menjadi 85,16 pada posttest, dengan N-gain 0,72 (kategori tinggi). Persentase miskonsepsi siswa tentang bahan yang diperlukan untuk fotosintesis mengalami penurunan dari 75,68% menjadi 18,92%. Respon siswa terhadap MODELO SIRIUS sangat positif (90,86%) dengan aspek tertinggi pada motivasi belajar (95%) dan kemenarikan tampilan (94%). Keunggulan MODELO SIRIUS terletak pada kemampuannya menvisualisasikan proses fotosintesis secara dinamis dan interaktif, mengakomodasi berbagai gaya belajar, serta mendukung pembelajaran mandiri melalui simulasi interaktif dan umpan balik langsung.
